With the development of experimental methods, molecular biology has become a data-rich science. Most of these methods are based on determining the sequences of nucleotides in DNA fragments, and the meaningfulness is determined by how these fragments are isolated. As a result, it is possible to study differences in genomes (including the genomes of individual cells); how genes work; which proteins bind to DNA and where; how DNA is packaged in the nucleus, and more.
Bioinformaticians write many scripts to analyze this data, including those in Python. The speaker will not talk about scripts, but will cover typical challenges and how they are coped with from a biological point of view.
